Bookkeeper

Job Description


Cannonball is seeking a full time Bookkeeper to join our team.

The Bookkeeper will support the agency and report directly to the Controller. This role will maintain accounting records and the agency’s financial transactions on a daily basis.  Responsibilities will include accounts payable, account receivable, journal entries, banking transactions and other financial / administrative duties as needed.  This role will also be creating weekly and monthly reports for multiple agency resources including the executive team.

Summary of essential job functions 

  • Recording all financial transactions
  • Creating and distributing invoices
  • Posting debits + credits to the general ledger
  • Balancing the company ledger
  • Tracking budget items
  • Managing all Accounts Payable + Receivable
  • Coordinating tax issues with internal and external resources
  • Monthly & annual general ledger close and associated audits
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Creating and maintaining reports for various agency resources
  • Working with the Controller and executive team on financial oversight and projections
  • Assisting with various audits, budget preparation and other duties assigned by the Controller.

Ideal Candidates Should Possess the following minimum qualifications:   

  • 1+ year experience in general ledger bookkeeping

Preferred Experience Includes:

  • Solid accounting experience in a corporate environment
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software / time keeping.
  • High level of skill in Excel/Google Sheets for processing and reporting on financial data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task on competing priorities
  • Experienced in the full accounting cycle from A/R to general ledger close
