The Superhero Project

Be Part of Something Super

The Superhero Project has a powerful mission – to bring hope and joy to kids and teens impacted by serious illnesses, disabilities and complex mental health issues. A team of artists helps these kids imagine themselves as their very own superhero, and brings their dream to life through a one-of-a-kind poster. Cannonball helped give this cinematic story the treatment it deserves.

Sharing a Story of Hope and Joy

Cannonball proposed a docufilm content strategy, weaving together a layered story to explain what The Superhero Project is, how a poster is created, who’s involved, and what it means to support the organization – all through the lens of a brave little boy named Levi and his family.

More Than a Poster

Cannonball’s involvement with The Superhero Project is personal. “Colorful Carole” is the daughter of one of our own. She’s endured all sorts of medical challenges, but as her mom says, “Her poster allowed her to visualize herself as the hero I see every day.” And there are a lot of kids just like Carole that could use some joy. That’s why we made this film.

People Are Noticing, Like Kelly Clarkson

A producer for the Kelly Clarkson Show saw this film and invited The Superhero Project founder Lisa Kollins to appear on the show. Within the advertising community, the film won gold at the district and regional American Advertising Awards, and is now competing nationally.
